TheStar.com - Sports - Wells and Marcum lay beating on Nats: "The Blue Jays always knew what they had in Vernon Wells but the centre fielder hasn't been able to remind them of that very often this season.

The Jays also suspected they had a bulldog of a starter in Shaun Marcum. The 25-year-old, on the other hand, has done nothing but underscore that since first stepping into another breach in the rotation back on May 13.

Yesterday, these two – and not for the first time this season – were on the same page, and the end result was a 7-3 win over the Washington Nationals. The win matched a season-best win streak for the Jays of, ahem, three but also got them to within a game of .500 baseball that they last knew on May 1."
