TheStar.com - Sports - All in all, Jays enjoy a pretty good afternoon: "It was a glorious day, warm sunshine, no wind, not unlike the heavenly morning used as a selling point by Mayor George Christopher to convince then-New York Giants owner Horace Stoneham to relocate his team to Candlestick Point, way back in 1957. It was pure Chamber of Commerce weather yesterday afternoon as the Jays wrapped up their three-game series with a 7-4 matinee win at AT&T Park.

McCovey Cove was empty of the usual armada of colourful, personal kayaks that routinely patrol the small inlet behind the right-field stands on game days. In their stead was a fleet of tacky sponsored yellow boats, cheapening the spontaneity of the entertaining homer retrieval ritual."
