CityNews: Roy Halladay Visits Blue Jays Clubhouse: "The doc is officially on the mend. Roy Halladay was back in the Blue Jays clubhouse with his teammates after undergoing emergency appendectomy surgery Friday evening. Toronto's ace pitcher said he's hopeful he'll be back in uniform before the original six weeks he was expected to miss.

'I'm hoping it's no more than four weeks,' he said. 'If I can start doing strenuous stuff in two weeks, I hope it doesn't take that long. A lot of guys had said, who have had it done, that they bounced back relatively quick.'"
