TheStar.com - Sports - Jays give Roberts Halladay's roster spot: "Toronto Blue Jays ace Roy Halladay was released from hospital today after undergoing a successful appendectomy, while infielder Ryan Roberts was recalled from triple-A Syracuse to take his place on the roster.

Halladay underwent the procedure Friday, hours after he showed up at the Rogers Centre looking pale and complaining of a sharp pain in his right side. Halladay will miss 4-to-6 weeks.

'He's doing good,' said manager John Gibbons. 'He may show up here (Sunday).'"
