Jays’ Burnett avoids surgery: "A.J. Burnett does not need surgery, the Toronto Blue Jays said on Monday, but questions remain about his wonky shoulder.

After the right-hander was examined by a prominent arm specialist, the Jays said Burnett is suffering from a “mild shoulder strain.” That is the same diagnosis their own medical staff made twice in the past three weeks."
