TheStar.com - Sports - Jays hammer Rockies 11-6: "The sluggish Toronto Blue Jays offence finally is starting to make a significant impact.

For the second straight game, the bats led the team to victory in a high-scoring contest as the Jays (36-37) beat the Colorado Rockies 11-6 before a crowd of 32,482 fans Saturday at the Rogers Centre.

Frank Thomas, who was 4-for-4 with four RBIs and his 498th career home run, and Fredericton's Matt Stairs, who tied a career-high with four hits, stood out in a season-high 17-hit Jays attack. The Jays' third fourth and fifth hitters – Stairs, Troy Glaus and Frank Thomas – went a combined 10-for-13 with six RBIs."
