TheStar.com - Sports - Barfield stepping up to the plate for CBC: "A chance visit to a radio broadcast booth at Yankee Stadium may have helped launch a new career for Jesse Barfield.

The former Blue Jays right fielder, a member of what was hailed in the 1980s as baseball's best outfield, was in New York to watch son Josh play for the Cleveland Indians last April.

'They asked me to come up to the radio booth for a couple of innings, so I did,' Barfield said yesterday. 'They liked what they heard and saw so they sent me a tape and I sent it here. And here I am.'"
