Blue Jays call up Curtis Thigpen: "Rookie catcher Curtis Thigpen was called up Tuesday to the Toronto Blue Jays to replace injured first baseman Lyle Overbay on the active roster.

Thigpen, 24, is averaging .299 in 44 games for the Syracuse SkyChiefs of the triple-A International League this season."
