The Bellingham Herald / Sports / Blue Jays recall Lynden’s Taubenheim

The Bellingham Herald / Sports / Blue Jays recall Lynden’s Taubenheim: "The Toronto Blue Jays recalled Taubenheim from Class AAA Syracuse on Tuesday when it put pitcher A.J. Burnett on the disabled list.

“He’s excited,” said Jim Taubenheim, Ty’s father, who spoke with his son on Tuesday afternoon. “He’s packing his things right now, getting ready to go to Toronto. He loves to play baseball.”

Taubenheim, a 2001 Lynden graduate, will start against Colorado on Saturday at Toronto. In 11 starts with Syracuse this season, the 24-year-old has a 3-5 record with a 5.63 ERA."
