TheStar.com - Sports - Gillick's heart is still here: "The Jays are in Philadelphia tonight for interleague play, facing the architect of their glory years, former GM Pat Gillick. Neither the Jays nor the Phillies have been back to the World Series since Joe Carter 'touched 'em all' in 1993.

This is, no doubt, a special series for Gillick. A couple of years ago, he attained Canadian citizenship and though he recently moved his home from Toronto to Seattle, he maintains strong ties to this country, including property in Prince Edward Island. His affection for Toronto remains deep. Consider that he spoke to his old barber the other day, calling him just to find out how business was going. Clearly, he cares."
